Fundraising with CAN DO Kid
CAN DO Kid supports events, companies and organizations that promote healthy children and a can-do attitude. The school/non-profit fundraiser program helps organizations raise money for events, programs and scholarships.
How does the program work?
Schools (or individual classes within a school) and non-profits can fund raise money with CAN DO Kid nutrition bars, purchasing them from us at the discounted price of $0.75/bar and selling them for $1.50/bar. We sell fundraiser bars by the case (180 bars). Organizations pay for the case(s) upon receipt, then sell the bars to raise money for school trips or events, scholarship programs, charities or other worthy causes.
Who is eligible?
Schools, extra-curricular school groups or non-profit organizations. We ask the purpose of the fundraiser prior to approval.
How many bars can a group order?
After approval, organizations may order as many bars as they wish to sell. Participating groups must agree that all bar proceeds will benefit the stated fundraising goal.
How do groups apply to this program?
Send an email to programs@iamacandokid.com describing the school or organization and the purpose of the fundraiser. Schools cover shipping and/or delivery costs.
What groups have done this so far, and what results have they seen?
This is a new program, but is being promoted by the California Association of Student Councils in California so we expect to see many more results like the following:
- Wilson School in Petaluma, Calif., raised $1,500 for the Heifer Foundation
- Edna Maguire Elementary School 5th Graders in Mill Valley, Calif., raised money for their Walker Creek trip
- Edna Maguire also sold the bars at their book fair to raise money for their library
- Dozens of sport teams including baseball, soccer and swimming have raised money for their teams by selling CAN DO Kid bars
